Mission

• At Hawthorne, we believe all decisions should be made by students and teachers in mind.  We believe every student and teacher has the ability to become the best version of themselves.  We believe teachers and students deserve the right to learn and teach in a safe and joyful environment that is free from assumptions and biases.We stand for student and teacher empowerment, advocacy, and growth mindset where every individual values their significance in the world.

• We believe in creating and sustaining a positive and inspiring culture and climate with a focus on college readiness and social and emotional learning.
• We believe that Professional Learning Communities will facilitate improvement in teaching and learning through weekly instructional and data-focused practices, as well as improving teaching and learning through the implementation of a consistent, exemplary coaching cycle.
• We believe in implementing the district/feeder-articulated balanced literacy program with fidelity in each Reading/Language Arts classroom to ensure that each student becomes a proficient reader and writer.

La instrucción de alta calidad guía a los estudiantes a través de una exploración profunda del pensamiento crítico y los procesos de resolución de problemas y ayuda a desarrollar el auto-descubrimiento personal.

Misión:

• Creemos en crear y mantener una cultura y un clima positivos e inspiradores con un enfoque en la preparación para la universidad y el aprendizaje social y emocional.
• Creemos que las Comunidades de Aprendizaje Profesional facilitarán la mejora en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje a través de prácticas semanales de instrucción centradas en datos, así como también mejorarán la enseñanza y el aprendizaje a través de la implementación de un ciclo de entrenamiento consistente y ejemplar.
• Creemos en implementar el programa de alfabetización balanceado articulado por el distrito/el alimentador con fidelidad en cada salón de lectura/artes del lenguaje para asegurar que cada estudiante se convierta en un lector y escritor competente.
